Me and my son met with Joe out at lake Oroville , had a blast and caught many fish. Joe is very humble and a good person to take pointers from. Definitely showed us a thing or two. My friend and I fished today with Joe on Oroville. My first time fishing there. We got 50+ fish and had a great time. Joe is super knowledgeable and demonstrated several different techniques. I have fished with lots of guides in several different countries and he is top tier. I will definitely fish with him again.
After owning a houseboat for a year on lake Oroville we decided we were tired of struggling trying to catch fish. Knowing little about bass fishing we booked a trip with Joe. Paid our deposit and he quickly replied with what dates would be good. Joe called the day before asked us what kind of technique we were interested in we told him drop shot and dart head. Joe gave us the VIP service by picking us up right at the houseboat he is a very good guide show us everything we needed to know to catch fish ..will be booking several more trips.
I've spent many years chasing bass. Bought lots of gear, tackle, and watched hours of "how-to" videos and thought I was doing the right techniques. But very rarely had a great day fishing. That's all changed now. Spent yesterday on Oroville with Joe and we never stopped catching bass the whole time. It was unbelievable and I even got a PB (3.4lb). Joe gave me and my son all the needed instructions and additional knowledge that I guarantee will provide a lot of very happy fishing days to come.
